Cooking eggs in different ways
Boiled
- Place eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water.
- Bring the pot to a boil
- Turn off the heat and cover the pot
- For firm whites and yokes, let the eggs sit for 10 minutes. Adjust the time depending on how firm or runny you'd like your eggs.
- Remove the eggs and run them under cool water.
Notes
Boiled eggs may be easier to peel if you cook them in salted water, and if they've been cooled afterwards, either by refrigeration or shocking them with extra cold water.
